BoingBoing has some photos of the idiotic billboards the Red Cross has put up throughout Western New York. Unbelievably stupid fearmongering. Plus, some of them suggest that the coming disaster will be our own fault because we, as citizens, ignored the warnings of experts. Remind me again of their record in NOLA?

I live on the eastern edge of Lake Erie and peer deep into ponds in the day and the dark sky at night. My home is ruled by two cats, millions of euglenoids and the ever marvelous Mimas Supremas-A superior lifeform of unusual powers and grace (well, I think she's neat).

Not to mention their less than stellar response to the October storm, which they had the gall to work into the fear campaign after the fact!
